EarWell Infant Ear Correction System

The EarWell Infant Ear Correction System is a plastic device which is applied to the baby's ears early in life. Optimal results are achieved when the EarWell system is applied as early as possible; ideally, no more than 6 weeks after birth. This is because in the first 6 weeks post-birth, the baby's ear cartilage is still soft. Therefore, the EarWell device can correct any malformations more effectively during this period, and normal development of the auricle is made possible.


After 4-6 weeks of using the EarWell device, the baby's ear shape will be normal, and any deformity will be corrected.

What are risks of ear deformities in infants?

The primary concern with early age ear deformities is that it could cause hearing problems later in life. Additionally, infant ear deformities will translate into lasting cosmetic issues. 

What is the cause of ear deformities in babies?

There can be many different causes of malformed ears in infants, some of which aren’t fully understood by the medical community. Contributing factors can include a lack of blood supply to the ears, genetic conditions, and exposure to certain substances or medications. 

When should I look for infant ear deformities?

Neonatal ear deformities are often easy to correct when they are recognised early. If not, then surgical treatments are more likely to be successful. As a result, it’s advised to monitor the state of your child’s ears closely for the first 7-10 days. 

Which part of the ear are affected by deformities?

In most cases, it is the upper part of the ear that becomes deformed in babies due to pressing against the head. However, deformities may occur in any part of the ear, including the lower lobe and inside of the ear as well.
