aesPlla® Poly-L-lactic acid

aesPlla® can be used to treat a variety of concerns on the face and décolletage. Some of the concerns that can be treated are:

• Deep dermal deficiencies
• Facial wrinkles and folds
• Marionette lines
• Temple
• Sagging jowls
• Scarring 
• Facial fat loss

aesPlla® is not recommended for the following areas:

• Tear through
• Lips/ Peri-oral
• Neck
• Hands
• Nose

The downtime with aesPlla® treatment is typically minimal. Most people are able to resume their daily activities however, there are some activities that should be avoided for 24 hours post treatment such as, any vigorous exercise. Your practitioner will discuss aftercare instructions with you. 

As with most injectables, common side effects such as; tenderness, pain, redness, itching, bruising and/ or swelling are sometimes reported. These are normal side effects from the result of an injection and should resolve within a few days.

aesPlla® is generally considered a safe, low-risk treatment when performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner.

Thanks to it’s streamlined particle structure, the filler requires significantly less injection force that traditional PLLA fillers, for a smoother and more evenly dispersed treatment. The formula does not migrate or attract water, allowing precise injection. 

Throughly expert-tested, aesPlla® has no reported complications, greatly reducing the risk of nodules and granulomas that have previously been associated with traditional PLLA fillers.

Pain and discomfort is usually very mild. Like with any injection, you may feel a small amount of discomfort, similar to a pin prick. 

After the treatment, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising, but these side effects typically resolve within a few days.

It is recommended that you complete a course of 2-3 treatment sessions, 4 weeks apart to ensure the best possible results.  

The initial results from your aesPlla® treatment will begin to show at around four weeks post-treatment, as the skin begins to produce new collagen. Initially, a renewed glow will be visible, followed by gradual volume restoration. The treatment results offer greater longevity than those of hyaluronic acid fillers, lasting for up to 3 years.

aesPlla® is recommended from an age when the production of collagen decreases and natural volume loss occurs. It is recommended to start the treatment in the early 30s. Good candidates for aesPlla® treatments typically include:

• Want a more natural look 
• Realistic treatment goals
• Mild-moderate volume loss 
• A healthy immune system

There are some individuals who may not be a good candidate for the treatment such as:

• Autoimmune disease
• Connective tissue disease
• Existing facial implants 
• Hypertrophic or keloid scarring,
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Under 18s. 

It is important to discuss your medical history with your practitioner so that they can determine if you are a good candidate for aesPlla® treatments.
